Both of these are in my view class leading Android apps in any case. That is File Manager + and Podcast Addict. PS I have now discovered an app combination which seems to let one play from the cloud AND enjoy the key audiobook functionality of adjusting playback speed and retaining your reading place. Once your collection is in he cloud on an Android device you can browse and play with apps such as Cloudplayer or Cloudbeat but these are more designed for music files and lack key audiobook features such as retaining place and adjusting speed, so in practice I will just browse in Dropbox or a file browser app that can link with dropbox then save off line to a audiobook library which is picked up by Smart Audioplayer. It also has cheap 100G and 200G plans as well as 1T. Google Drive offers 15GB free and sharing doesn't eat into the other persons quota. If you plan to buy office 365, one drive 1TB is bundled with that or 5G free. It is however the most expensive solution with a small 2G free account and sharing eats into the other person's storage quota. Of these Dropbox has the advantage of delta syncing ie if you change something in the file eg a name or tag it Android will just sync the difference rather than re upload the whole file which is what will happen with the other two. Once you have taken off the DRM on both your amazon and apple purchases then probably the best bet is to put the whole library onto your PC and sync it to a cloud based service such as Dropbox, One Drive or Google Drive. I don't purchase DRMed material as I don't like the idea of being locked into a particular company's ecosystem. I think the key is to remove the DRM from your books.
